One can never be too certain when it comes to lottery numbers aligning.
Stouffville’s Lisa Williams-Rozario, 49, was taking no chances about celebrating without being absolutely sure that she was believing what she was seeing in the aftermath of the June 8 Lotto Max draw.
Once convinced of her good fortune, the married mother of five children claimed a $613,729 payout as a second-place winner.
“When I checked my ticket using the OLG Lottery App, the phone jingled and ‘Big Winner’ popped up,” she said. “I checked it another six times after that.”
The domestic engineer said she is a frequent player when the jackpots are big.
Williams-Rozario said the win provides relief and is enough to make some differences in her life.
“I will share with some charities, SickKids being one, and I will use some to travel,” she said. “Costa Rica and Reno are on my list. We can’t wait.”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Shoppers Drug Mart outlet on Tenth Line in Stouffville.
