
The annual R1 Million Gauteng Summer Cup is one of South Africa’s oldest and most respected first-grade horse races, and is a highlight for many punters on the South African racing calendar. Taking place on the 27th November 2021, at one of the oldest racecourses in the country, the Turffontein Racecourse, which was built in 1887 and is widely considered by experts as one of the most difficult regular racing tracks in the country. It’s tough to look at any of the runners outside the top 3 of Malmoos, War of Athena and Got the Greenlight. Got the Greenlight managed a respectable 3rd in the Durban July 2021 race, and look set to be a strong contender.
